Campaign “Re-Equip a Student” – support for 26 children in Roșia, Sibiu County
In the village of Nou, Roșia commune, 26 first grade children start school with hope, but also with many hardships.
24 of them receive social scholarships because their parents can barely cover the family’s basic needs. Six children are raised by a single parent, and one child is cared for exclusively by his grandmother. Even when parents have jobs, their incomes are very low and families are often large.

For these children, simple things like a pair of warm boots, school supplies, or a book become a luxury. The school materials they receive at the beginning of the year are not enough for the whole year, and this lack of resources affects their education and their chances for a better future.
Through the “Re-Equip a Student” campaign, Open Fields Foundation aims to provide these children with the support they need to attend school in decent conditions:
- school supplies and teaching materials for the entire school year;
- books to nurture their love for reading;
- snacks and small rewards to bring them joy;
