2. Purpose of the Website

The website www.openfields.ro serves an informational and functional purpose, supporting the activities of the Open Fields Foundation. The website allows users to:

  • learn about projects and events;
  • make donations;
  • register as volunteers;
  • participate in sponsorship campaigns;
  • purchase tickets for events organized by the foundation.

3. Target Audience and Activities (Educational, Social, Cultural)

The site addresses the general public, especially individuals and legal entities interested in supporting the activities of Open Fields Foundation. The promoted activities include:

  • educational and development programs;
  • social and environmental projects;
  • volunteering actions;
  • fundraising campaigns.

4. Donations and Sponsorships (Law 32/1994)

Donations made through the website are voluntary acts without any consideration. Sponsorships are carried out in accordance with Law 32/1994, with applicable tax benefits for sponsors.

  • Donations are non-refundable, except in cases of technical error;
  • Sponsorships are recorded through electronically or physically signed contracts;
  • The foundation issues receipts and sponsorship contracts upon the donor’s or sponsor’s request.

5. Online Payments via iPay Banca Transilvania

Online payments are made through the iPay platform of Banca Transilvania S.A., CUI RO5022670, headquartered in Cluj-Napoca, 30-36 Calea Dorobanților Street, Romania, registered at the Trade Register under no. J12/4155/1993.

  • Card data are processed by BT Payments and not stored by Open Fields Foundation;
  • The system uses tokenization and PCI DSS standards;
  • 3D Secure authentication applies where available;
  • Refunds or errors are processed through the same payment method;
  • For support, users may contact Banca Transilvania or the foundation’s support email;

Banca Transilvania acts as a data processor, while Open Fields Foundation remains the data controller; each party is responsible for data security within its own infrastructure.

6. Event Participation and Volunteering

  • Registration for events is made through the site’s forms or via online ticket payment;
  • Cancellations follow the return policy;
  • Volunteers must complete the registration form and sign the volunteering agreement according to Law 78/2014.

7. Intellectual Property

The content of the website, including logo, texts, images, and videos, is the property of Open Fields Foundation. Unauthorized reproduction is prohibited. Users may share materials only with proper source attribution.

8. Limitation of Liability

Open Fields Foundation makes every effort to ensure the accuracy and timeliness of the information published on the site. However, it cannot guarantee the complete absence of errors or service interruptions. The foundation is not responsible for financial losses caused by technical errors during payment processing by external processors.

9. Modification of Terms

10. Jurisdiction and Dispute Resolution

These Terms and Conditions are governed by the laws of Romania and the European Union.

Disputes related to commercial activities may be resolved through ANPC or the European SOL ODR platform.

For nonprofit activities, disputes are resolved by the competent Romanian courts.
